COWDERY & RUNHAM REUNITE TO LAUNCH RUNCOWRUN
The launch of RUNCOWRUN, a brand-new media consultancy was announced today by its co-founders Holly Cowdery and Claire Runham.
The new business has been established as a flexible resource for producers and buyers of creative commercial content focusing on the founder’s expertise in unscripted entertainment. The consultancy will create lasting partnerships, source finance, maximise distribution opportunities and support commercial strategies.
Holly Cowdery (pictured far left), who most recently served as Bossanova’s head of sales overseeing the US, Canada, Latin America, UK, France, and Italy, started her commercial career in television at NBCUniversal and Lionsgate and then at EOne. She joined TCB Media Rights in 2017 as a sales executive before rising to a position of VP of sales.
Claire Runham (pictured near left), most recently head of acquisitions at BossaNova Media, has held previous roles at Beyond Rights, which was acquired by Banijay Group in December 2022, and TCB Media Rights. Prior to moving into distribution, she built industry experience on both the channel and production sides, working at National Geographic Channels and award-winning production company, Dragonfly Film and TV.
Claire Runham, said: ‘As experts in our field and with the relationships to match, we’re driven to working across an industry in transition, staying close to the changes in how content is financed, sold and seen, helping the businesses and projects we represent to navigate that shift. The company’s purpose is to operate with trust, flexibility and market informed decision making at its core at a time where collaboration, quick thinking, total flexibility and innovative bandwidth should be a basic toolkit.’
Cowdery added: ‘RUNCOWRUN offers a combination of complementary skill sets – I’ve loved my career in international sales, learning along the way as the role morphed into a deeper, integrated commercial partner role. We want to take this expertise to producer partners who need the energy and intel we can provide. Anyone who knows Runners and her acquisitions expertise know the value she always brings to all the projects she picks up and develops. Having worked closely together for a decade, we are very much looking forward to working with clients, new and old, to bring the benefit of both buyer and seller perspectives across both legacy and emergent entertainment all in one place’.
